Learning & Development Specialist

About the role

The Learning & Development Specialist will lead end‑to‑end delivery of training initiatives across the business. You will partner with stakeholders to identify skill gaps, design relevant programmes and ensure learning outcomes align with commercial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct skills and training needs analyses and prioritize programmes.
• Build internal and external relationships to secure resources and funding.
• Collaborate with subject‑matter experts to design and deliver training content.
• Select appropriate delivery channels to maximise knowledge transfer.
• Maintain up‑to‑date and relevant training materials.
• Support HR with coaching, mentoring and leadership development.
• Facilitate assessment centres for trading, operations and commercial roles.
• Liaise with government or industry bodies to obtain training grants.

Required profile

• CIPD certification.
• Experience in commodity trading, finance or integrated oil companies within a training or L&D environment is advantageous.
• Highly motivated, able to work independently with a service‑oriented mindset.
• Strong interpersonal skills for interaction at all organisational levels.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
