Learning Support Assistant – August 2026

About the role

The Learning Support Assistant works closely with teachers to ensure an inclusive learning environment for all students. This full‑time position starts in August 2026 at GEMS Winchester School in Fujairah.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers with classroom activities and administrative tasks.
• Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to students, especially in Mathematics and English.
• Help prepare learning materials and maintain classroom resources.
• Monitor student progress and report observations to teachers.
• Support inclusion strategies and assist with behavior management.

Required profile

• Higher Secondary Education (grade 12) or a bachelor’s degree.
• Strong knowledge of Mathematics and English.
• Previous experience working with children or in a similar support role.
• Excellent English communication skills and ability to multitask.
• Clear UK‑enhanced DBS or equivalent police check as required by GEMS Education.

• Computer literacy.
