Leasing Specialist – Retail Asset Management

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Retail Leasing supports the leasing and commercialization of retail assets such as shopping malls, community centres, street retail and mixed‑use developments. You will identify and secure suitable tenants, negotiate lease terms and help maximise occupancy, rental income and overall asset value.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and approach prospective tenants across categories including F&B, fashion, services, entertainment and convenience retail.
• Build and maintain relationships with retailers, brokers and leasing agents; attend industry events to expand contacts.
• Lead lease negotiations, prepare proposals and coordinate internal approvals for commercial and legal terms.
• Support tenant‑mix strategy, evaluate performance and recommend renewals, relocations or expansions.
• Conduct financial analysis, prepare rent proposals, revenue forecasts and regular leasing reports for senior management.
• Liaise with Legal, Finance, Property Management, Design and Fit‑Out teams to ensure smooth handover and compliance.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing tenants and address renewal or expansion requests.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Marketing or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in retail leasing within shopping malls, mixed‑use developments or commercial real estate.
• Proven track record in negotiating and closing lease transactions.
• Strong relationships with local and regional retail brands; experience with community and destination malls is preferred.
