Legal Counsel (6‑month renewable contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to support a semi‑government client in the United Arab Emirates. This six‑month renewable contract offers the chance to work on a wide range of property, corporate, and operational matters in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate retail, residential, office and land leases, licences, NDAs, MOUs, procurement and marketing agreements.
• Provide practical, business‑focused legal advice to internal stakeholders.
• Support property and asset transactions, negotiations and legal risk management.
• Review and standardise legal templates and documentation.
• Liaise with external counsel, service providers and relevant authorities.
• Assist with trademark, intellectual property and data‑protection matters under UAE law.
• Contribute to legal reporting, governance and process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law with qualified lawyer status.
• 5–7 years post‑qualification experience in a reputable law firm or in‑house team.
• Minimum 3 years advising on property and real‑estate matters.
• Strong background in leasing, commercial contracts and negotiations.
• Commercially aware, proactive and solution‑oriented.
• Excellent drafting, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
