Legal Counsel

About the role

The Legal Counsel will safeguard the organization by ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, particularly across the MENA region. This senior position provides strategic legal advice, manages risk, and oversees litigation to protect the company’s interests.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to employees, management, and the board on a wide range of corporate matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and recommend policy adjustments.
• Advise on corporate governance, board meetings, filings, and regulatory compliance.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks; implement proactive risk‑management strategies.
• Manage and coordinate litigation and dispute‑resolution activities across the MENA region, including oversight of external counsel and legal budgets.
• Maintain intellectual property registrations, product registrations, and obtain required business licenses.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law with at least 5 years of relevant work and litigation experience.
• Licensed lawyer or legal practitioner recognized in a MENA country.
• Strong knowledge of corporate law and local legal systems in the Middle East.
• High professional ethics, integrity, and excellent communication skills.
• Fluent in Arabic and English, capable of legal translation.
• Willingness to travel internationally and manage legal teams and external counsel.
• Immediate availability.
