Legal Counsel – Regulated Industries

About the role

TOAST is seeking a Legal Counsel to serve as the primary legal advisor for its work in highly regulated sectors such as pharmaceuticals, healthcare, biotechnology, medical devices, and financial services. The role supports the creation and delivery of innovative digital, experiential, AI‑powered, and immersive solutions while ensuring compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide practical legal guidance across healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and technology engagements.
• Assess legal and regulatory risks associated with client programmes and emerging technologies.
• Advise on healthcare and pharmaceutical communications, including HCP, patient, and medical education programmes.
• Partner with Medical Affairs to identify regulatory and compliance risks and support governance frameworks.
• Draft, review, and negotiate client agreements, statements of work, master services agreements, and vendor contracts.
• Advise on intellectual property ownership, licensing, and usage rights.
• Support procurement, partnership, and strategic supplier agreements while managing contract risk.
• Monitor developments in relevant regulatory frameworks and industry standards.

Required profile

• Strong legal expertise in regulated industries, particularly healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and financial services.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to deliver clear, business‑focused legal advice.
• Experience working in fast‑paced, innovation‑driven environments.
• Ability to collaborate closely with client services, production, technology, medical affairs, and executive leadership.
