Legal Manager

About the role

The Legal Manager will support the Head of Legal in overseeing all legal, contractual, litigation, debt recovery, arbitration, governance, regulatory, shareholder and family matters for the Group in the UAE. The role ensures the protection of the Group’s legal, financial and commercial interests while providing day‑to‑day leadership of the Legal Department.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head of Legal in managing the full spectrum of legal and regulatory affairs across the Group.
• Provide legal advice on commercial, civil, labour, tenancy, arbitration and corporate matters.
• Supervise amicable and judicial debt‑recovery operations, monitor collection performance and legal escalations.
• Manage litigation, commercial disputes, tenancy disputes and arbitration cases.
• Coordinate with external law firms, consultants and government authorities.
• Draft, review, negotiate and finalize commercial, distribution, service and corporate agreements.
• Oversee company incorporation, corporate restructuring and constitutional amendments.
• Support Board of Directors activities, including resolutions, meeting minutes and governance documentation.
• Ensure compliance with UAE laws, regulations and corporate‑governance standards.
• Lead legal operations, documentation management, reporting and departmental records.
• Drive process improvements, digitisation initiatives and legal analytics.
• Handle family‑related legal matters, estate administration and succession issues.
• Manage shareholder matters such as share transfers, agreements and ownership restructuring.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10–15 years of experience in legal affairs, litigation, contracts, collections and governance.
• Strong knowledge of UAE commercial, civil, labour, arbitration and corporate law.
• Proven ability to manage a legal team and departmental KPIs.
