Librarian

About the role

The library team at TASC Outsourcing is looking for a dedicated Librarian to manage day‑to‑day operations, maintain collections and support users in Abu Dhabi. You will play a key role in ensuring the library’s resources are organized, accessible and up‑to‑date.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee overall library operations, resources and inventory.
• Catalogue, classify, organise and maintain books, e‑books, journals, manuscripts and audiovisual materials.
• Develop and maintain an accurate library database and information‑management system.
• Manage book circulation, shelving, check‑in/check‑out and inventory records.
• Assist users in locating books, references and other information effectively.
• Coordinate the purchase of new books, journals, databases and other library materials.
• Conduct regular audits and maintain accurate library records.
• Support the preparation and management of the annual library budget.
• Inspect books and manuscripts for condition and authenticity when required.
• Conduct research and prepare research papers, reports, reviews, summaries and recommendations.
• Ensure confidentiality, proper handling and safekeeping of library resources.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 month of experience in library operations.
