Lifecycle Projects Engineer

About the role

The Lifecycle Projects Engineer supports planning, coordination, execution and handover of replacement, refurbishment, upgrade and asset improvement projects across the NYU Project, ensuring safe delivery, on‑time completion and compliance with client, HSE and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support planning and delivery of lifecycle projects, reviewing asset condition reports and preparing scopes, schedules, cost estimates and risk assessments.
• Coordinate daily activities with contractors, consultants, FM teams, HSEQ, QA/QC and client representatives, supervising site work for compliance with drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct inspections, testing, commissioning, snagging and final handover, ensuring collection of warranties, O&M manuals and as‑built documentation.
• Ensure HSE compliance, support incident reporting, NCR closure and audit requirements, escalating safety or quality concerns as needed.
• Assist procurement, track materials, variations and costs, and prepare progress reports, risk logs and action lists for stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Facilities Management, Project Management or related field; relevant certifications preferred.
• Minimum 5–7 years of FM, construction or asset management experience, with at least 3–5 years in project coordination, refurbishment and contractor management.
• Strong knowledge of FM operations, building systems, MEP, civil works, HSE, quality testing and commissioning processes.
