Lifeguard – Hotel/Resort

About the role

As a Lifeguard you will ensure the safety of guests at the hotel’s swimming pool and other recreational water areas. You will monitor activities, enforce safety rules and be ready to respond to emergencies while providing courteous service.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor pool activities and maintain guest safety at all times.
• Enforce pool rules and safety regulations.
• Perform water rescues and administer first aid, CPR or AED when required.
• Inspect pool area, rescue equipment and emergency supplies before each shift.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool deck and surrounding areas.
• Report maintenance issues, hazards, accidents and incidents promptly.
• Conduct regular water safety checks and assist with pool opening and closing procedures.
• Provide professional service to guests, answering questions and offering assistance.
• Maintain accurate incident and daily operation records.

Required profile

• Previous lifeguarding experience in a hotel, resort or recreational facility (preferred).
• Valid UAE Lifeguard Certification from a recognized authority.
• Current First Aid, CPR and AED certifications.
• Good swimming and rescue skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to stay calm and act effectively during emergencies.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors for extended periods.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
