Lifeguard

About the role

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is seeking a dedicated Lifeguard to ensure the safety and enjoyment of guests at its Dubai pool facility. You will be the first line of defense, responding quickly to any incidents while promoting a welcoming atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor swimmers and intervene using appropriate rescue techniques when needed.
• Observe the pool area for hazardous conditions, unsafe activities, or guests in distress.
• Enforce pool rules and regulations, and inform supervisors of any safety concerns.
• Provide first‑aid assistance to injured guests until emergency services arrive.
• Maintain cleanliness of the pool deck, including towel handling, washing, and mopping.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management.
• Uphold company policies, protect confidential information, and maintain a professional appearance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No prior lifeguard experience required; training will be provided.
• Ability to work full‑time shifts, stand or walk for extended periods, and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lb unaided.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
