Lifestyle Bartender

About the role

JW Marriott is hiring a Lifestyle Bartender for its Above Eleven venue in Palm West Beach, Palm Jumeirah Road, Dubai. The role is full time and non-management, and focuses on building a memorable guest experience beyond simply mixing drinks. Bartenders are expected to take ownership of guest service, keep the bar looking and functioning flawlessly, and build relationships across the hotel and in the community.

Key responsibilities

• Mix drinks and take care of the bar so that it looks and functions flawlessly
• Anticipate and meet guests' needs, from the money handled to the information given and the quality of drinks served
• Build relationships with colleagues across the hotel and within the community
• Follow company policies and procedures, protect company assets, maintain confidentiality, and keep a safe workplace
• Stand, sit or walk for long periods and move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects of up to 25 pounds, reaching overhead and below the knees

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• At least 1 year of related work experience
• No supervisory experience required
• Passion for the guest service experience and attention to detail
