Lifting Engineer – EPC Projects (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

We are seeking a Lifting Engineer to join KBR’s Sustainable Technology Solutions team in Abu Dhabi. The role supports large‑scale EPC projects, ensuring safe and efficient lifting operations across the project life‑cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all lifting activities on mega EPC projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and client requirements.
• Act as the Single Point Authority for lifting operations, providing technical approval and oversight for lift plans.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams to integrate lifting solutions into overall project schedules.
• Review and validate lifting equipment specifications, load calculations, and rigging procedures.
• Support the Project Management Consultancy (PMC) function by delivering technical reports and risk assessments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any discipline).
• Minimum 12 years of on‑shore engineering experience, preferably in the GCC region.
• At least 5 years of experience in lifting engineering on oil & gas or petrochemical EPC projects.
• Certification as a Single Point Authority for lifting operations.
