Liquor Sales Specialist – Cruise Retail

About the role

Join the onboard retail team of a leading cruise retailer and use your knowledge of premium spirits to create memorable guest experiences at sea. You will guide guests through tastings, cocktail conversations and sales of high‑end liquor across a variety of cruise itineraries.

Key responsibilities

• Introduce and recommend premium spirits, explaining flavour profiles and gifting options.
• Support and host tastings, seminars, demonstrations and promotional events.
• Engage guests, identify buying signals and upsell complementary products while maintaining a relaxed atmosphere.
• Maintain visual standards, accurate stock handling and compliance processes.
• Share product knowledge with team members and assist in training.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of spirits (whisky, rum, gin, vodka, tequila, cognac, liqueurs).
• Experience in liquor retail, duty‑free, hospitality, mixology, bar work or brand ambassador roles.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Physically fit for active, on‑board duties.

• Confidence discussing flavour notes, cocktail ideas and brand stories.
• Ability to host or support tastings, demonstrations and seminars.
• Motivation to achieve sales targets and maximize every sales opportunity.
