Litigation Lawyer – Labor & Cheque Bounce Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced litigation lawyer to manage and represent the company in labor disputes and cheque dishonour cases, as well as other small to medium claims. The role covers the full litigation lifecycle, from pre‑litigation notices to court appearances, settlement negotiations, and execution of judgments.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the organization before labor courts, tribunals, and relevant authorities in employment disputes, handling wrongful termination, unpaid wages, end‑of‑service benefits, contract disputes, and employee misconduct.
• Manage end‑to‑end cheque bounce litigation, including issuing legal notices, filing criminal and civil complaints, and pursuing recovery through negotiation, settlement, and enforcement of judgments.
• Draft pleadings, statements, affidavits, applications, and appeals; appear before courts and tribunals to present arguments effectively.
• Maintain accurate case files, records, and regular status reports for management; track case progress, hearing dates, and statutory deadlines.
• Conduct legal research and stay up‑to‑date with relevant legislation and case law.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in law (LL.B. or equivalent) – mandatory; Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Valid license to practice before the relevant courts in the UAE – mandatory.
• 3‑5 years of litigation experience with demonstrable work in labor law and cheque bounce matters.
• Experience handling a high volume of cases, managing multiple deadlines, and representing corporate clients or working in an in‑house legal team.
• Familiarity with debt recovery, enforcement procedures, and mediation or conciliation proceedings.
