Loadmaster – Aircraft Turnaround & Cargo Operations

About the role

Manage the aircraft turnaround, including weight and balance, ramp operations, onboard loading, door operations, cabin safety, and aircraft servicing such as potable water, toilet servicing and catering.

Key responsibilities

• Act as liaison for third‑party service providers, ensuring resources meet SLA requirements.
• Coordinate with Network Control to guarantee on‑time departures and handle flight disruptions.
• Control load functions to keep the aircraft within operational weight and balance limits.
• Oversee ramp operations, safety issues, and aircraft servicing (external power, water, catering, toilet).
• Inspect cargo/mail for suitability, load special items (Dangerous Goods, Live Animals) and provide signed NOTOC to crew.
• Drive freighter performance targets and monitor KPIs such as OTP, FAB and Cargo IQ.
• Control and report GHA usage of ground service equipment to minimise costs.
• Ensure security checks on the ground and in‑flight, manage access control and prevent prohibited items.
• Conduct regular Aircraft Turnaround Checks to verify safety, security and operational compliance.

Required profile

• Secondary school degree desirable or significant relevant work experience as a loadmaster.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in loadmaster duties, airline cargo operations, ground handling or a comparable military role.
