Logistics Executive

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Executive to oversee port transport operations across major UAE ports. The role involves managing container gate‑in/gate‑out movements, generating e‑Tokens, and coordinating driver dispatch to ensure timely deliveries and avoid demurrage.

Key responsibilities

• Generate, modify and manage e‑Tokens / Port Gate Pass slots via DP World, Dubai Trade and shipping line platforms for both laden and empty containers.
• Coordinate the return of empty containers to off‑dock yards or designated terminals, ensuring prompt processing of Equipment Interchange Receipts (EIRs).
• Verify container status, request pickup lists from shipping lines, prepare load lists and submit Export Declaration (ED) requests.
• Provide shipping instructions, obtain draft Bills of Lading and confirm their accuracy.
• Plan and dispatch trucks to move containers from warehouses, yards or factories to port terminals within vessel gate‑open windows.
• Maintain end‑to‑end tracking of inbound and outbound containers, monitoring vessel ETAs, free‑time windows and storage status.
• Monitor shipping line free days to prevent demurrage, detention or ground storage penalties.
• Communicate with drivers and third‑party transport providers, issue delivery instructions and resolve gate‑delay or token errors.
• Ensure all documentation (B/L, EIR, customs release forms, shipping orders) is aligned before booking port tokens.

Required profile

• 4‑5 years of hands‑on logistics experience in UAE port operations, container trucking or freight forwarding.
• Strong knowledge of UAE port gate‑in/gate‑out workflows, empty return procedures and port cut‑off rules.
• Ability to troubleshoot portal errors, handle token rescheduling and meet tight delivery timelines.
• Good English communication; Hindi, Urdu or Arabic is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with UAE port booking portals (Dubai Trade, DP World).
• Experience using shipping line portals such as Maersk, MSC, CMA CGM, Hapag‑Lloyd.
• Advanced Excel for tracking container statuses, free‑day alerts and trip logs.
