Logistics Lead

About the role

The Logistics Lead is responsible for planning, coordinating and managing all logistics activities for MERG projects. The role ensures safe, efficient and cost‑effective movement of materials, equipment and personnel between fabrication yards, warehouses and offshore sites while complying with legal standards, HSE requirements and project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Handle inbound, outbound and transshipment shipments and prepare related invoices and documents.
• Manage inventory control at the warehouse facility in Jebel Ali Free Zone.
• Liaise with overseas vendors, freight forwarders and carriers to confirm delivery dates and pick‑ups.
• Monitor supplier and customer submissions to ensure on‑time and accurate shipping documentation.
• Propose cost‑effective solutions for shipping and warehousing.
• Oversee 3PL warehouse operations, provide accurate stock availability reports and ensure weekly fulfilment of UAE store allocations.
• Review regulatory compliance for all shipped products and work with government and testing agencies for product registration.
• Lead cost‑saving initiatives to optimise annual freight and warehousing expenses.
• Coordinate on‑time delivery of e‑commerce orders with courier companies.

Required profile

• Ability to work under pressure and build good relationships at all levels.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience handling logistics for the Far East region.
• Proven inventory and logistics operation management experience.
• Good understanding of the freight forwarding industry.
• Awareness of GCC customs and compliance requirements.
