Logistics Officer

About the role

The Logistics Officer coordinates and supports all logistics activities to ensure the timely and efficient movement of materials, equipment, supplies, and services. This role works closely with internal departments, suppliers, and external partners to meet operational requirements while adhering to approved procedures, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate transportation, delivery, collection, and distribution of materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Prepare and maintain logistics plans, delivery schedules, and operational checklists.
• Support logistics for meetings, official visits, events, projects, and emergency operations.
• Monitor material movement from request to final delivery and report any delays or issues.
• Manage relationships with suppliers, transport companies, warehouses, and service providers, including follow‑up on purchase orders, deliveries, invoices, and service completion.
• Prepare logistics documentation such as delivery notes, receiving reports, inventory records, and tracking sheets.
• Generate regular reports on deliveries, inventory levels, pending requests, supplier performance, and operational issues.
• Identify logistics risks, propose contingency solutions, and respond promptly to urgent operational needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Professional certification in logistics, supply chain, procurement, or inventory management is an advantage.
