Logistics Officer

About the role

The Logistics Officer will coordinate the movement of materials, equipment and parts for construction projects across the United Arab Emirates. You will act as the main point of contact between freight forwarders, customs brokers, transporters and internal project sites to ensure timely and compliant deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain quotations and negotiate with freight forwarders, transporters and customs brokers for each shipment.
• Prepare and manage import/export documentation in line with local regulations.
• Liaise with project sites and suppliers to schedule collection and delivery of cargo.
• Monitor shipments from origin to destination, providing visibility and traceability.
• Escalate any shipping issues promptly to relevant stakeholders.
• Administer statutory transport and customs paperwork to satisfy audit and legal requirements.
• Review logistics performance and implement improvement measures.
• Ensure compliance with customs rules and company Integrated Management System (IMS) policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in freight forwarding and project cargo handling.
• Knowledge of customs regulations and import/export procedures, especially for Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure.
