Logistics Officer – Supply Chain Support

About the role

The Logistics Officer will report to the Supply Chain Manager and provide comprehensive logistic support across the organization. This role ensures smooth import and export operations throughout the Middle East and Asia Pacific, maintaining high standards of efficiency and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Select carriers and negotiate contracts and rates.
• Plan and monitor inbound and outbound deliveries.
• Research optimal shipping techniques, routing, and carriers.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with company procedures.
• Evaluate budgets and expenditures.
• Update and assess logistics metrics to drive performance improvements.
• Ensure all operations comply with laws, guidelines, and ISO requirements.
• Achieve cost avoidance through multiple quote negotiations.
• Maintain on‑time delivery performance.
• Coordinate with approved logistics forwarders.
• Develop efficient transport strategies to maximize savings.
• Support documentation processes, including invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and manifestos.
• Report shipment status and resolve logistics issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in import/export using land, sea, and air freight within the Middle East and Asia Pacific.
