Logistics Specialist – Import & Export

About the role

We are seeking a Logistics Specialist focused on import and export operations to manage shipments, ensure accurate documentation, and coordinate with internal and external partners. The role guarantees timely delivery, cost control, and compliance with UAE and international trade regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with international suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers for import shipments, track ETA, vessel details, and manage demurrage risks.
• Oversee export orders, prepare export documentation, arrange bookings, and ensure compliance with destination country requirements.
• Prepare, collect, and verify all import/export documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, HS codes, MSDS, COO, SASO, MOFA, and customs declarations.
• Request freight quotations, negotiate rates, review freight and customs invoices, and monitor additional costs like demurrage, detention, and storage.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in import/export logistics, preferably within the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE customs clearance, port procedures, and international trade regulations.
• Familiarity with Incoterms and HS code classification.
