Logistics Specialist

About the role

Halliburton is seeking a Logistics Specialist to manage the movement of domestic and international goods in compliance with local and international regulations. The role supports the supply chain for one of the world’s largest energy service providers, ensuring efficient and safe transportation of cargo.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate pre‑shipping instructions and work with service providers to execute shipments.
• Manage orders for cargo movement from origin to destination, keeping customers informed of progress.
• Maintain all shipping documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Gather and analyze data on service provider performance and short‑term business needs.
• Utilize logistics systems, including SAP, to record transactions and monitor trends for cost‑effective improvements.
• Pack, mark, label, and measure cargo to provide accurate weight and dimensions.
• Assist finance and accounting with validation of rates and invoice charges.

Required profile

• Two‑year degree or equivalent in Logistics, Supply Chain, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• 1–2 years of logistics experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Knowledge of transport modes (Ocean, Air, Land) and hazardous material handling.
• IATA/IMDG certification may be required depending on scope of work.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP and other logistics management systems.
