Machine Learning Engineer

About the role

Join SAP in Dubai as a Machine Learning Engineer and help turn AI ideas into production‑ready solutions that drive measurable product value across multiple industries.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and operationalize end‑to‑end machine‑learning and AI pipelines, from data ingestion to model serving.
• Develop data movement pipelines, training and inference workflows, APIs, and evaluation frameworks for use cases such as recommendation, forecasting, anomaly detection, classification, NLP, semantic search, and generative AI.
• Perform feature engineering, experiment design, model tuning, and both offline and online validation.
• Integrate models into scalable product architectures and improve LLM‑based workflows, including prompt design, retrieval‑augmented generation, vector search, guardrails, and response quality evaluation.
• Strengthen the AI engineering backbone with CI/CD, monitoring, observability, testing, and model‑lifecycle automation to ensure reliability, cost‑awareness, security, and enterprise‑scale readiness.

Required profile

• Strong programming skills in Python with working knowledge of Java or Go.
• Solid understanding of machine‑learning fundamentals, including supervised and unsupervised methods, ranking, and recommendation systems.
• Hands‑on experience with deep‑learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Proven ability to prepare data, engineer features, validate datasets, and evaluate models using appropriate metrics.
• Experience deploying ML models in production via batch, real‑time, or streaming pipelines.
• Familiarity with generative AI concepts (LLMs, embeddings, vector databases, prompt engineering, RAG).
• Working knowledge of MLOps tools and modern data infrastructure (experiment tracking, model versioning, CI/CD, Spark, Kafka, Airflow, feature stores).
