Magnet Program Manager – Nursing Excellence

About the role

The Magnet Program Manager leads Sheikh Khalifa Medical City’s efforts to achieve and sustain Magnet status through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). This senior nursing leadership role oversees documentation, data collection, and collaboration with nursing and executive teams to ensure compliance with Magnet standards and drive continuous improvement in patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the organization’s Magnet recognition process, from planning to site‑visit preparation.
• Serve as the primary contact for all Magnet‑related activities, guiding documentation, self‑assessment, and annual reporting.
• Integrate the 14 Forces of Magnetism into facility structure, culture, and committees.
• Provide Magnet‑focused leadership, modeling Magnet behaviors and promoting the nursing division’s philosophies.
• Support shared‑governance councils and interdisciplinary committees to empower nursing practice.
• Advise nursing leadership and executive management on any gaps or concerns related to Magnet standards.
• Maintain up‑to‑date expertise on Magnet requirements and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading Magnet or similar nursing excellence programs.
• In‑depth knowledge of ANCC Magnet standards and the 14 Forces of Magnetism.
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to model Magnet‑aligned behaviors.
• Excellent collaboration skills with nursing, interdisciplinary, and executive teams.
• Ability to guide policy development that supports Magnet culture.
