Maintenance Planning Engineer

About the role

The Maintenance Planning Engineer will plan, schedule, manage and coordinate both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance work to ensure continuous airworthiness of Air Arabia's fleet and third‑party entities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop short‑term and long‑term maintenance plans for the airline fleet in line with the Approved Maintenance Program.
• Create work packages, preloads, Gantt charts and coordinate scheduled and unscheduled line, base and third‑party maintenance.
• Forecast man‑hours, monitor cost efficiency and ensure compliance with airworthiness directives and service bulletins.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, finance and legal teams to secure tools, spares and support for maintenance activities.

Required profile

• University degree in Aircraft Engineering, Aeronautical, Aerospace or related field.
• 5+ years of aviation experience, including at least 4 years as a Planning Engineer, preferably with Airbus A320.
• Strong knowledge of CAMO regulations, EASA Part‑145/21, CAR‑M, CAR‑145 and related manuals.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MRO systems such as AMOS.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with aircraft planning documents (MPD, MRB, AMP).
• Project management and cost‑control capabilities.
