Manager – Credit Control

About the role

The Credit Control Manager will lead the accounts receivable function, driving performance improvements, optimizing working capital and ensuring robust internal controls. This senior finance role partners closely with Commercial, Operations, Treasury and Legal teams to secure cash flow and support the organization’s financial strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accounts receivable, credit control and collections to achieve timely cash conversion and compliance with credit policy.
• Monitor and improve working capital metrics such as DSO, ageing and cash conversion cycle.
• Ensure proper provisioning for expected credit losses (ECL) and bad debts in line with IFRS and group policy.
• Review customer credit limits, payment terms and high‑risk exposures; negotiate payment plans with delinquent customers.
• Maintain audit readiness, document processes and close audit observations promptly.
• Lead, mentor and develop the credit control team, set KPIs and foster a culture of accountability.
• Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives for collections and cash application.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Operations and Procurement to improve contract terms, billing accuracy and collection cycles.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field; Master’s degree or professional qualifications (CPA, CMA, ACCA) a plus.
• 6‑8+ years of experience in credit control, accounts receivable or related finance function.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
• Strong leadership, relationship‑building and negotiation abilities.
• Experience with financial reporting, data analysis and forecasting.
