Manager, Material Management

About the role

The Manager, Material Management leads procurement and material management activities for EDGE's Operations Division. Reporting to the Head of Procurement, the role ensures timely, cost‑effective acquisition of materials, supplies and services while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that optimise cost, quality and delivery performance.
• Oversee material planning, inventory control and demand forecasting to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Manage supplier selection, evaluation, contract negotiations and performance monitoring.
• Drive cost‑saving initiatives and total cost of ownership reduction.
• Monitor procurement budgets, expenditures and KPIs, and prepare regular performance reports.
• Lead, coach and develop the procurement and material management team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics or related field.
• 5‑7 years of experience in procurement, material management or supply‑chain operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in supplier management, contract negotiation, inventory control and procurement planning.
• Professional certification such as CPSM, CPP or CPIM is preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with SAP.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong data analysis and report writing capabilities.
• Expertise in procurement planning, risk management and project management.
