Manager Planning – Aircraft Maintenance

About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking a senior leader to head the Maintenance Planning department in Abu Dhabi. You will ensure that all commitments to service providers, staff and regulators are met efficiently while supporting the airline’s growth ambitions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and operate the Maintenance Planning department, aligning procedures with national airworthiness regulations and KPI dashboards.
• Establish internal processes and interfaces to support department objectives and assist other functions.
• Manage the life‑cycle of each maintenance project, including pre‑input and wash‑up meetings for A‑check and higher.
• Monitor technical records and audit processes to ensure CAMO compliance.
• Represent the planning function in internal and external meetings, driving actions and follow‑up.

Required profile

• Technical academic degree or HND in aeronautical engineering, or an ICAO Type I/II licence.
• Minimum seven years of operational experience in aircraft maintenance planning, with proven management or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of airworthiness and health‑and‑safety legislation, and demonstrated ability to lead continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required skills

• Aeronautical engineering knowledge.
• ICAO Type I or Type II licence.
• Maintenance planning and MRO operations expertise.
• Airworthiness regulations and CAMO compliance.
