Manager, Planning & Performance Management

About the role

The Manager, Planning & Performance Management leads the full performance management cycle for the directorate, ensuring strategic and operational plans align with corporate objectives. This role drives KPI governance, balanced scorecard development, and continuous improvement across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and govern the corporate planning and performance cycle, including long‑term strategy, annual planning, scorecard design, cascade and monthly monitoring.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organisational goals, collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
• Own the performance agenda, ensuring alignment with group strategy and executive priorities.
• Set and review KPI targets, introduce new KPIs, and benchmark against market trends.
• Monitor monthly results, analyse performance metrics, identify gaps and drive timely decision‑making.
• Ensure data integrity and validity for performance contracts and senior management directives.
• Govern quarterly outlook and recovery planning cycles, driving corrective actions.
• Oversee implementation of performance management systems, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of planning and performance professionals.
• Collect, analyse and consolidate business development performance data for corporate reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience in corporate planning, performance management and KPI governance.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and drive improvements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage change initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills to influence senior stakeholders.
• Knowledge of integrated management systems and quality excellence models (e.g., TQM, EFQM).
