Managing Director

About the role

ENSEA FZCO is a Dubai‑based engineering and project services company. On behalf of a UAE‑based oil and gas contracting company, we are hiring a Managing Director to build and lead the business.

Key responsibilities

• Build the business from the ground up: define target markets, services, clients, and the plan to enter them
• Generate and qualify opportunities, build the tender and sales pipeline, and win the first contracts
• Develop relationships with oil and gas operators, EPC contractors, and other key clients across the UAE and the region
• Take go / no‑go decisions on tenders; approve pricing and commercial terms within approved limits
• Identify and close capability gaps: certificates, pre‑qualifications, partnerships, and subcontractor relationships
• Develop the corporate strategy and annual business plan; report to the Board monthly on pipeline, performance, and risks
• Oversee project execution, service quality, and operational KPIs
• Own revenue growth and the profitability of contracts won; deliver the business plan within the approved budget
• Act as the company’s licensed manager and authorised signatory; represent it before UAE authorities (licensing authority, MOHRE, ICP)
• Establish and maintain the quality and HSE management system; promote a safety culture
• Build the team: propose the organisational structure, recruit and lead department heads and staff

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred), Business Administration, or a related discipline
• 12‑15 years of experience in oil and gas services, contracting, or EPC, including at least 5 years in senior management
• Proven track record of building a business and winning new clients and contracts in the UAE or the wider region
• Established network of client contacts in the regional oil and gas market
• Working knowledge of the UAE regulatory environment for company licensing and labour law
• Current UAE residency (mandatory) and ability to transfer visa sponsorship and act as the company’s licensed manager
• Entrepreneurial and hands‑on attitude, comfortable working in a lean, early‑stage organisation
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); Arabic is an advantage
