Managing Quantity Surveyor – Interior Fit‑Out

About the role

The Managing Quantity Surveyor (M.QS) will lead post‑contract commercial and procurement activities for interior fit‑out projects. You will ensure accurate cost control, timely valuations and profitable delivery while complying with client requirements and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and mentor a team of Quantity Surveyors across live fit‑out projects.
• Allocate project and package responsibilities and monitor deliverables against procurement and construction programmes.
• Develop and review procurement strategies and package splits for all interior fit‑out trades, including joinery, MEP, flooring, ceilings, painting, glazing, signage and FF&E.
• Manage the full subcontractor procurement cycle: issue enquiries, handle tender clarifications, analyse bids, negotiate terms and award contracts.
• Review subcontract BOQs, schedules of rates and scope‑of‑work matrices for measurement accuracy.
• Ensure packages align with approved budgets, programmes and client quality standards.
• Negotiate and finalise subcontract sums, terms and conditions.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years (120 months) of experience in quantity surveying and fit‑out procurement.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a commercial team.
• Strong understanding of post‑contract delivery, cost control and variation management.
• Familiarity with local regulations and industry best practices.
