Marine Warranty Surveyor – Offshore Wind Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Marine Warranty Surveyor to support offshore wind projects in the United Arab Emirates. The position is freelance, based on‑shore with on‑site assignments lasting 3‑14 days and daily shifts of up to 12 hours.

Key responsibilities

• Witness, monitor and approve load‑out operations, including lifting and Ro‑Ro activities.
• Witness, monitor and approve cable load‑out operations, ensuring equipment readiness and correct handling sequences.
• Perform vessel suitability surveys and verify vessel readiness for planned marine operations.
• Review load‑out procedures, lifting plans, rigging arrangements and method statements from a Marine Warranty Surveying perspective.
• Verify stability, deck strength, mooring, ballasting and sea‑fastening arrangements before execution.
• Witness critical marine operations and confirm compliance with approved procedures and good marine practice.
• Prepare clear MWS survey and attendance reports, document observations and follow up on outstanding actions.

Required profile

• Several years of maritime industry experience, preferably in Marine Warranty Surveying or a comparable marine assurance role.
• Fluent English for safe communication, documentation and reporting; Arabic is an advantage.
• Full membership of SOMWS or demonstrable progress toward full membership.
