Marketing Specialist

About the role

PlaceUp is looking for a hands-on Marketing Specialist in Dubai who takes ideas from concept to execution. The ideal candidate is creative, commercially minded, comfortable working independently and willing to get directly involved in content creation, social media, campaigns, events and day-to-day marketing. The role suits someone who enjoys being on the ground and creating content rather than coordinating with agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and run marketing campaigns across digital, social media, events, launches and other channels.
• Create social media content such as product videos, interviews, launches, events and promotions.
• Appear on camera and represent the brand in videos and social content; create simple content by smartphone when needed.
• Grow the social media presence and identify new platforms, trends and opportunities.
• Test concepts and campaigns, measure results and continuously improve performance.
• Support product launches, events, activations and promotional campaigns.
• Work with sales and other teams so marketing supports commercial goals.
• Monitor traffic, engagement, conversion, sales and brand growth.
• Take ownership of projects with minimal supervision and find cost-effective solutions within limited budgets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in marketing, digital marketing, social media, content creation or a related field.
• Hands-on, independent and proactive, able to work without constant direction.
• Comfortable on camera and resourceful with limited budgets.
• Commercially minded, focused on traffic, engagement, conversion, sales and brand growth.
• Interest in toys, collectibles, anime, gaming, entertainment and pop culture is highly preferred.
