Material Buyer – Engine MRO

About the role

We are looking for a Material Buyer to support engine maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) operations in Dubai. The successful candidate will ensure timely, cost‑effective procurement of parts, tooling and services while maintaining compliance with aviation and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Source and purchase engine components, consumables, tooling and external services required for MRO activities.
• Create, issue and manage purchase orders in line with approved supplier, quality and company procedures.
• Monitor open orders and proactively expedite critical material to meet maintenance schedules and turnaround targets.
• Coordinate with planning, production, stores and engineering teams to understand demand, priority changes and shortages.
• Confirm pricing, availability, lead times, certifications and shipping commitments with suppliers.
• Resolve purchase order discrepancies, invoice issues, damaged shipments and delivery problems.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and system data within the ERP or procurement platform.
• Support compliance with aviation, quality and customer traceability requirements.
• Analyze usage trends and supplier performance to improve cost, availability and service levels.
• Participate in inventory control and shortage management to minimise engine work stoppages.

Required profile

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, aviation or related field preferred.
• Experience in purchasing, procurement or materials coordination within an industrial, aerospace or MRO environment.
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and standard purchasing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret purchase documentation, part numbers, certifications and supplier communications.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and compliance.
