Material Planner

About the role

The Material Planner ensures that material supplies align with production schedules and maintain minimum stock levels, enabling a smooth flow of production operations. This role plans, monitors, and manages inventory using production plans and information.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule and oversee material supply in line with production schedules to ensure efficient workflow.
• Create purchase requisitions based on demand forecasts to meet consumer needs.
• Analyze supply trends and customer demand to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Conduct inventory checks to verify accuracy against target levels.
• Monitor material flow, identify bottlenecks, forecast issues, and adjust schedules or cancellations as needed.
• Utilize SAP planning system to generate demand and maintain accurate process flow.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on material updates, engineering changes, quality issues, and production timelines.
• Prepare regular statistical reports for stakeholders and suggest efficiency improvements.
• Implement processes to agreed standards and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in material planning and scheduling multiple projects with a proven track record.
• Experience using SAP software.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, engineering, or supply chain management.
• Preferred: 4+ years of industry and regional experience in planning and scheduling.
