Material Submittal Engineer – Fire Fighting Systems

About the role

Arada is seeking a detail‑oriented Material Submittal Engineer with expertise in fire‑fighting systems. The role involves preparing, reviewing and managing technical material submittals to meet project specifications, consultant requirements and UAE authority regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit material submittals for ELV systems such as fire alarm, voice evacuation, public address, central battery and monitoring.
• Perform lux and drop‑voltage calculations and ensure compliance with NFPA standards and UAE Fire & Life Safety Code.
• Review datasheets, catalogues and certificates, coordinate with suppliers and obtain required approvals.
• Maintain submittal logs, track approval status and support procurement with technically approved materials.
• Assist project teams with technical clarifications, testing & commissioning documentation and site implementation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in fire‑fighting systems and material submittals, preferably in the UAE/GCC.
• Familiarity with Civil Defence approval procedures is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of fire‑fighting systems and components.
• Understanding of NFPA standards and Fire & Life Safety regulations.
• Experience preparing technical submittals and compliance documents.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Office and PDF/document management tools.
