Mathematics Teacher – Immediate Start

About the role

ADNOC Schools, a Massachusetts State Curriculum school group in Abu Dhabi, is looking for a Mathematics Teacher for its Ruwais campus. The position starts immediately and suits passionate educators who share the school's core values and understand the values of the region.

Key responsibilities

• Create a learning climate, set clear objectives, challenging tasks and expectations, and build on prior attainment
• Identify SEN or very able students and meet their needs through differentiation
• Use assessment for learning, performance data and key indicators to plan and deliver differentiated lessons
• Maintain discipline under the Behaviour for Learning Policy and encourage punctuality, behaviour, standards of work and homework
• Use varied teaching strategies, effective questioning, and learning resources including ICT and the library
• Mark work at least once every two weeks, assess progress systematically and record it, and assess students as required by exam boards and school procedures
• Prepare informative reports for parents and take part in subject development, keeping curriculum plans and schemes of work up to date
• Keep subject knowledge up to date through CPD and professional reading, attend professional development workshops, and take on additional duties asked by the Principal or Vice Principal

Required profile

• Fully qualified teacher with a Bachelor's in mathematics or a related subject, plus PGCE or another teacher qualification
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in the related field
• Experience with students for whom English is an additional language
• Clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services or Police check
• Commitment to an enrichment programme, recent extra-curricular involvement, respect for the school community and a positive, solution-focused attitude
