Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Design Engineer with a focus on MEP services to join our team in Dubai. The role involves delivering complete HVAC and plumbing designs for residential and commercial projects, from calculations to detailed shop drawings.

Key responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems including DX, VRF, and chilled water solutions.
• Perform cooling load calculations using HAP or similar software.
• Calculate external static pressure (ESP) for ductwork and pump head for plumbing and chilled water loops.
• Develop plumbing layouts covering water supply, drainage, and stormwater networks.
• Prepare detailed shop and coordination drawings in AutoCAD (Revit preferred).
• Ensure all designs comply with Dubai Municipality, DEWA and other local authority regulations.
• Collaborate with electrical, architectural and structural disciplines and review IFC drawings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1‑2 years of hands‑on experience in MEP design.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.

Required skills

• AutoCAD (Revit is a plus).
• HVAC system design (DX, VRF, chilled water).
• Plumbing system design (water supply, drainage, stormwater).
• Cooling load calculations (HAP or equivalent).
• ESP and pump head calculations.
