Mechanical Design Engineer – UK Visa Sponsorship

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading mechanical contractor in the United Kingdom. The role offers full visa sponsorship under the UK Skilled Worker programme and provides the opportunity to work on commercial, hospitality and residential projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare mechanical design drawings and technical documentation.
• Create 2D and 3D models using CAD and Revit software.
• Design mechanical components, systems and fabrication layouts.
• Interpret project specifications and engineering requirements.
• Coordinate with production, fabrication and project teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Perform design checks, including heat‑loss calculations, pipe and duct sizing, and selection of pumps and fans.
• Suggest value‑engineering solutions to optimise cost and efficiency.
• Support manufacturing and installation processes as required.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or Architectural Engineering (desirable).
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in building services design, either in consultancy or contractor environments.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Self‑motivated, reliable and able to work independently.
• Willingness to relocate to the UK and meet Skilled Worker visa criteria.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software (2D/3D modelling).
• Extensive experience with Revit/M EP (MEP) design.
• Heat‑loss and energy calculations.
• Pipe, duct, pump and fan sizing.
• Value engineering and cost optimisation.
• Preparation of engineering drawings and specifications.
