Mechanical Inspector – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Inspector to join AECOM’s infrastructure team in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on inspecting mechanical works for water supply, drainage, pumping systems and related utility networks on a large‑scale project.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out inspections of mechanical installations, testing and commissioning activities.
• Verify that works comply with approved drawings, specifications and method statements.
• Document QA/QC procedures and produce inspection reports.
• Coordinate with project engineers and contractors to resolve non‑conformances.
• Support the handover of mechanical systems to the client.

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Inspector on infrastructure or construction projects.
• Familiarity with water supply, drainage, pumping systems and utility networks.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
• Good knowledge of QA/QC inspection procedures and documentation.
• Preferably experience on UAE/GCC infrastructure projects.
