Mechanical Inspector

About the role

The Mechanical Inspector will ensure that contractors adhere to contract documents, coordinate daily with other project teams, and verify the quality and quantity of work performed. The role also involves processing inspection requests and technical submittals, and taking appropriate actions to maintain project standards.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret contract documents, detailed drawings, specifications, and health‑and‑safety measures.
• Monitor contractor compliance through observation, measurements, testing, and quality‑assurance tracking.
• Maintain daily records of contractor manpower, equipment, and site resources.
• Conduct site supervision and inspections as directed by the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer.
• Document contractor personnel, equipment, activities, locations, reasons, and methods used.
• Report material deliveries and implement site instructions from leadership.
• Apply and enforce all site quality‑control procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 84 months (7 years) of experience in mechanical inspection within construction projects.
• Strong understanding of contract documents, specifications, and building codes.
• Ability to work on‑site and coordinate with engineering and construction teams.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards applicable to mechanical works.
