Mechanical Inspector

About the role

Dar is seeking an experienced Mechanical Inspector to lead inspections on complex construction projects such as buildings, malls, and airports across the United Arab Emirates. The role involves planning and executing inspections, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and perform inspections for technically complex works.
• Guide and mentor junior inspectors.
• Review work against approved shop drawings and specifications.
• Prepare summaries of recurring site issues and inspection trends.
• Verify contractor corrective actions for previously identified issues.
• Participate in resolving inspection‑related conflicts.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance with QA/QC and HSE procedures.
• Review material deliveries for conformance prior to installation.
• Escalate unresolved non‑conformities and recommend solutions.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or associate degree in engineering or construction.
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in construction‑related field, especially building, mall or airport projects.
• Site inspection or construction supervision experience.
• Competence in interpreting technical drawings and standards.
