Mechanical Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing both safety‑critical and non‑safety mechanical maintenance on a wide range of plant systems and components. The role ensures high equipment reliability and supports the overall operational readiness of the nuclear facility.

Key responsibilities

• Execute planned and corrective mechanical maintenance on Nuclear Steam Supply System (NSSS) equipment such as reactors, steam generators, fuel handling facilities, HVAC, heat exchangers, pumps, Emergency Diesel Generators (EDG), and related valves, chillers, and supports.
• Maintain Balance of Plant (BOP) assets including pumps, valves, rad‑waste equipment, compressors, and engines.
• Prepare and stage work activities, including procurement of spare parts and special tools.
• Participate in pre‑ and post‑job briefings, oversee maintenance teams, and ensure compliance with Nawah maintenance standards.
• Document equipment history, update material master data, and conduct surveillance tests to verify system performance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical systems and components, resolving issues promptly and safely.
• Support outage operations and Emergency Response Organization as required.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to follow strict maintenance procedures and safety codes.
• Capability to provide training feedback and support continuous improvement of maintenance practices.
• Willingness to work in a high‑reliability, nuclear‑energy environment.

Required skills

• Mechanical maintenance (preventive and corrective).
• Equipment troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.
