Mechanical Project Engineer – Mid Level

About the role

Jones Engineering Group is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to lead the design and coordination of mechanical, public health and fire‑life safety systems across multidisciplinary projects in the UAE. You will work closely with BIM and MEP teams to deliver compliant, efficient solutions from concept through detailed design.

Key responsibilities

• Fully design mechanical, CHW, HVAC, fire suppression, drainage and related systems from client inception to detailed design.
• Ensure all drawings and specifications meet local regulations (KSA/UAE) and international standards (BS, IEC, NFPA).
• Provide technical input to BIM teams and produce coordinated drawings and single‑line diagrams.
• Conduct detailed technical reviews of existing designs and calculations.
• Raise and follow up on RFIs for client/consultant clarifications.
• Present designs to the technical director and coordinate changes arising from site conditions or MEP interfaces.
• Lead coordination of engineering services and deliver value‑engineering solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years (60 months) of experience in mechanical engineering project delivery.
• Strong knowledge of local regulations (KSA/UAE) and relevant standards (BS, IEC, NFPA).
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
