Mechanical Site Inspector – Power Generation (Dubai)

About the role

SEGULA Technologies is seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Inspector to support a confidential power‑generation IPP project in Dubai. The role involves overseeing mechanical installation, ensuring compliance with design and quality standards, and supporting the project through construction, testing, and commissioning phases.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect installation of mechanical equipment, piping, valves, supports, skids, pumps, and balance‑of‑plant systems.
• Verify material receipt, preservation, alignment, cleanliness and mechanical completion.
• Review method statements, ITPs, inspection checklists, test packs and QA/QC documents.
• Witness pressure testing, flushing, reinstatement, mechanical run checks and pre‑commissioning activities.
• Raise site observations, NCRs and punch‑list items as required.
• Coordinate with Mechanical Engineer, Welding Inspector, Commissioning Engineer, QA/QC team and EPC Contractor.
• Maintain inspection records, daily reports and quality documentation.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of mechanical inspection experience.
• Background in power generation, industrial plants, utilities, oil & gas or EPC projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical installation, piping, equipment inspection, QA/QC and testing.
• UAE/GCC experience preferred.
