About the role
The Mechanical Technology Specialist will support the development, evaluation, deployment and optimisation of drilling and well‑related technologies across ADNOC Drilling operations. The role focuses on technical execution, problem‑solving and delivering measurable value in the field.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, assess and select drilling and well‑construction technologies.
- Participate in pilots, trials and proof‑of‑concept activities in operational environments.
- Deploy, test and optimise approved technologies on rigs and projects.
- Provide technical support during implementation and troubleshoot issues.
- Monitor performance, collect data and report on technology benefits.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, HSE, digital teams and external vendors.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures and best practices.
- Support training, knowledge transfer and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation or related).
- Minimum 12 years of experience in drilling, well construction or upstream technology roles.
- Hands‑on experience in operational environments preferred.
- Proficient in spoken and written English and computer literate.
