Medical and Surgical Ward Nurse

About the role

An internationally accredited hospital in Dubai is looking for experienced, Western-trained Medical and Surgical Nurses to join its nursing team. The position suits compassionate and skilled nurses who want to advance their careers in a state-of-the-art facility that upholds international standards of clinical care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality, patient-centred care across medical and surgical inpatient units.
• Monitor and evaluate patients' clinical conditions and coordinate with the multidisciplinary team.
• Administer medications, perform clinical procedures and support post-operative recovery according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, surgical recovery, discharge instructions and health promotion.
• Maintain accurate documentation, adherence to care plans and compliance with hospital standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain infection control and patient safety standards in all clinical areas.
• Take part in continuing education, quality improvement initiatives and hospital accreditation processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited Western institution (UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa or equivalent).
• At least 2 years of recent post-registration experience in a medical/surgical ward within a hospital.
• DHA (Dubai Health Authority) licence or eligibility letter.
• Willingness to work in Dubai.

Required skills

• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment with a focus on patient dignity and clinical excellence.
