Member of Technical Staff - Robotics Lab (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Member of Technical Staff to join a cutting‑edge Robotics Lab on a fully remote basis. The role focuses on designing, developing, and deploying autonomous robotic systems with real‑time control and scalable autonomy.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement control algorithms, including kinematics, dynamics, and path planning.
• Develop software for perception, localization, and mapping using sensor‑fusion and SLAM techniques.
• Integrate sensors, actuators, and embedded hardware into functional prototypes.
• Optimize performance for efficiency, reliability, and safety in dynamic environments.
• Document specifications, test results, and deployment procedures for internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
• Experience with real‑time control systems, embedded software, and hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing.
• Familiarity with ROS/ROS 2, simulation tools (Gazebo, CoppeliaSim, NVIDIA Isaac Sim) and communication protocols such as CAN, Ethernet, UDP.
• Knowledge of computer vision, SLAM, sensor‑fusion, and machine‑learning techniques (reinforcement or imitation learning).
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and troubleshoot complex robotic systems.
