MEP Cost Manager

About the role

The MEP Cost Manager will lead cost planning, procurement and contract administration for mechanical, electrical and plumbing services across construction and fit‑out projects in Dubai. You will work closely with clients, consultants and contractors to ensure MEP budgets are accurate and controlled throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets and life‑cycle costing for HVAC, electrical, fire‑protection, plumbing and drainage systems.
• Review design drawings, produce bills of quantities and tender documentation, analyse subcontractor quotations and negotiate contracts.
• Administer MEP contracts, monitor costs, assess variations, process interim payments and produce regular cost forecasts.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor focused on MEP systems.
• Experience across commercial, residential, industrial, healthcare or hospitality projects.
• Familiarity with standard forms of contract such as FIDIC, JCT or NEC.

Required skills

• Cost estimating and budgeting for HVAC, electrical installations, fire‑protection, plumbing and drainage.
• Tender preparation, quotation analysis and contract negotiation.
• Cost control, variation assessment and interim payment processing.
